Hartig Gastrobar ($$ – $$$) | Where to eat in Rotterdam

O Hearty Gastrobar It's a tip for anyone who enjoys good food and a cool atmosphere. In the best modern-chic style where wood and steel combine very well with the beautiful illustrations and retro objects, creating that industrial kitchen air that invades the restaurant's spacious hall. The atmosphere of the place is complemented by good background music and the welcoming service provided by the team and the Chef and owner herself.

Markthal ($ – $$$) | Where to eat in Rotterdam

Opened in 2014, the Market hall is none other than the Rotterdam Public Market. It has become one of the great symbols of the city and is famous for bringing together two great world passions in one space: gastronomy and contemporary architecture.

Markthal | Rotterdam Public Market

In the place you can find food from all over the world – including açaí from Brazil. But our recommendation is to look for the typical products of the local gastronomy!

Try, for example, the famous Gouda cheese and its variations with different flavors – pepper is my favorite. Other classics that cannot be missing are the fish/shrimp croquettes or the french fries accompanied by mayonnaise – nothing more typical than that!

Baker&Moore ($-$$) | Where to eat in Rotterdam

This is a suggestion for anyone who is, like me, a fan of brunch. I love an incremented breakfast in the best “Café Colonial de Gramado” or hotel breakfast style. O Baker&Moore it's that kind of place but with a special feature. In addition to the super cozy environment, it proposes to offer the delights of a super complete breakfast. during all day long – more precisely between 7:30 am and 17:XNUMX pm.

Baker&Moore: cozy atmosphere, healthy, fresh and homemade food

The options are all prepared on site following the line of “healthy, fresh and homemade”. On the menu we find à la carte and individual options, but also great combinations that serve two people. And it was one of those that we ordered – the Mr. Baker's Breakfast for Two. This combo consisted of:

  • yogurt with granola;
  • varied portions of rustic breads, mini scones and croissants;
  • jams, butter and fresh cream;
  • raw ham, cheeses and smoked salmon;
  • boiled eggs, and
  • tomato, arugula, cucumber and avocado salads.

Ufa! Many delicious things. We also ordered two latte macchiato coffees and took the opportunity to try the different juices we saw on the menu: “So Fresh So Clean” with carrot, pineapple, grapefruit, ginger and lemon; and the “Juice Detail” with beetroot, apple, orange and lemon. All made to order, fresh and delicious.

Stadsbrouwerij De Pelgrim ($-$$$) | Where to eat in Rotterdam

And brewery tip couldn't be left out! A City brewery De Pelgrim is proud to be the craft brewery in Rotterdam that, in addition to great beer, has a lot of history to tell! That's because it is located in Historisch Delfshaven, one of the historic districts of Rotterdam that escaped the destruction of World War II. There, the small port is surrounded by historic buildings from the late medieval era. Including the 1580 building where the brewery is located. It has had many functions over the years, serving as city hall, a scout association and even a police station.
