Florida is famous for having mild temperatures year round compared to other US states. In summer, it reaches warmer temperatures. In winter, temperatures remain cool – but nothing too cold. Therefore, it is possible to visit the Adventure Coast throughout the year.

June, July and August are the high season months – due to the summer in the northern hemisphere. Therefore, prices may be higher at this time. The mid-seasons are great times to get to know the region, get away from the hustle of summer, get a good weather and still find more affordable prices.

Kayak Tour in Weeki Wachee

The tour lasts three hours and travels about 8 km on the Weeki Wachee River, inside the State Park (Weeki Wachee Springs State Park). The tour is just peaceful, where you can see the local fauna and flora, following the flow of the river. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, bathing suit and food. Who takes the tour is the Kayaks and Attractions.

For you to understand the look of this place, take a look at this video. The place is beautiful.

Bayport Kayak Trail-Linda Pedersen Paddling

Another very nice and quieter option, which leaves the Weeki Wachee River crowded. Enjoy a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard ride on the recently opened Bayport-Linda Pedersen Paddling Trail. The trail is almost 2,7 km and runs from Bayport Park to Linda Pedersen Park.

The structure is very nice, with parking, restaurant and other facilities. For those who are out of shape – like me – or are not so used to this sport, the trail lasts 1h30. And don't worry, there's a shuttle at the end to bring you back to Bayport Park.

Watching the Manatee (Manatee)

Manatees are one of the friendliest marine mammals. Manatees, as they are also known, are found in shallow and coastal waters and rivers. They spend much of their day munching on aquatic vegetation, such as seaweed, and often emerge to breathe through their nostrils.

The best time to dive and spot them is in winter, when they go deeper into the canals looking for warmer waters. Who takes the tour is the Manatees Adventures, on one of Florida's clearest rivers, the Crystal river. Is very beautiful!

Boat ride (Cruise) to watch the sunset

After a day full of activities, nothing like a beautiful sunset to wax with a golden key. We took a super scenic and relaxing boat ride. One of my favorite tours. The company that takes Bayport Safari River Cruise.
