Day 1 and 2 – Zurich

Zurich is the biggest city in Switzerland, located in the heart of Europe and at the foot of the Swiss Alps, and often the starting point when visiting the country. Also known for being the economic center of the country, it has already been named the best city to live in the world by the Mercer's Quality of Living Survey and also the richest city in Europe.

For those who are going to stay for a few days, I recommend exploring the old center of Zurich, it is wonderful and has a lot of places to visit.

What to do in Switzerland in 7 days — Zurich at night.

Dia 3 – Basel

After two days exploring Zurich, I traveled early to Basel. It's a quick trip, it took less than an hour by train to the city's central station. I didn't know what to expect from the city, I didn't know anything about the place and I had the mission of seeing everything in a day and a half.

I left my bags at the hotel and went out for a walk. I was impressed with the experience. The city is known for being the capital of culture, it has works of art spread all over the place and is a mix of history, culture, art and also modernity.

Of all the places I visited in the country, Basel ranked first among my favorites!

Day 4 and 5 – Bern

The Swiss capital was also a very good surprise, the historic center of Bern it is a UNESCO world heritage site and it is amazingly beautiful. In just one day you can walk the entire historic center. The city offers many places to visit and a lot of history! Bern it's a must!

Day 5 and 6 – Interlaken and Jungfrau

I arrived in Interlaken in the late afternoon with a very high expectation, it was the day before the ascent to the top of Europe, on the mountain Jungfraujoch. I was hoping the weather would improve as the time I spent in Bern was closed and rainy, and for the Jungfrau be worth it, the weather has to be good.

The day I arrived, I left for a Free Walking Tour. A super nice tour where I got to know a little about the city, tasted Swiss cheeses and chocolates, and even visited a local farm to get to know a little about cheese production! It's really worth it, especially because it's free!

The next day I was treated to a sunny day and had one of the best and most memorable experiences of my backpacker life. the walk to Jungfrau it's something special. If you have the opportunity, write it down on your list.

Oh, and here's the tip to go well equipped for this type of tour. You will walk in the snow, it is good to have waterproof shoes for this, in addition to dealing with cold, sun, wind and unpredictable weather conditions. A good idea is to bet on Columbia's 3-in-1 jackets to go to these places.

Dia 6 - Montreux and Vevey

I didn't even have to get to Montreux to already be in love. I traveled with the Golden Pass, a train with a breathtaking panoramic view. I took so many pictures that I looked like those tourists who photograph everything they see. But this trip is what everyone ends up doing. Be sure to take this train!

Montreux is pure charm, a city at the foot of the Swiss Alps and on the banks of the Geneva lake, which has a huge musical culture and hosts one of the biggest jazz festivals in the world.

Vevey is the neighboring town and is also very charming. While Montreux load the music Vevey brings photography and the festival of images.

Slide 7 – Lausanne

my last day in Switzerland was Lausanne, the Olympic capital of the country. A very interesting city that left me with the feeling that living in it is cooler than simply visiting it. Having a coffee or a drink on one of the “terraces” of the city is a mark of Lausanne and you can't help but do it. O Olympic Museum It is also a must for sports lovers.
