The Centre of Curitiba

We can never say it enough, staying in the city centre is really ideal, in order to be close to the main points of interest of the city.

The centre of Curitiba has an area of 3.30 km² and has a population of approximately 34,000. As it is a central and lively district, the average age of its inhabitants is rather young. Its strong point? The ease with which everything can be found, as the street trade is rich and has many banks, pharmacies and supermarkets. Its buildings with their supermodern architecture, mixed with the historical monuments and other colonial buildings that make up its history, give it a crazy charm.

In addition to this beautiful postcard, the urban parks and the famous Botanical Garden are among the must-see attractions of Curitiba. To discover the city in its entirety, think of the City Tour which, during half a day, immerses you in the history of Curitiba, from yesterday to today.

Agua Verde

Agua Verde is a chic and central area, ideal for accommodation in Curitiba. It is bordered by the districts Batel, Centro, Portão, Rebouças, Seminary and Vila Izabel. You will love its traditional atmosphere. Close to the Centre, this makes it a privileged geographical location, which will make you close to everything if you choose to stay there.

You will find beautiful leisure areas, making the area pleasant for those who want to walk with their children, pets or exercise. The Ouvidor Pardinho square, for example, has a large walking area and an open-air gym. During the weekend, the movement revolves around the different bars and restaurants on Avenues Agua Verde, Iguaçu, Sète de Setembro and Petit Carneiro and Brasílio Itiberê.

We recommend this neighbourhood, which combines the comfort of the central area of the city with the tranquillity of a residential area.

Capão Raso

Capão Raso is a residential area of a little more than 5 km², located in the south-west of Curitiba, about 9 km from the centre.

Originally owned by Italian immigrants who participated in the construction of a highway connecting Curitiba to São José dos Pinhais, the neighborhood developed along the road, mainly housing a working population. Capão Raso will be pleasant for you if you are looking for calm, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Mainly residential, with easy access to other areas of the city, this neighborhood does not have as many leisure and cultural options as the other neighborhoods nearby, but more than 14,000 square meters of green space.

Neighbourhoods close to the city centre

The following neighbourhoods border the city centre and are easily accessible. They can therefore be a good compromise for accommodation in Curitiba: Alto da Glória, Alto da XV, Batel, Bigorrilho, Civic Centre, Cristo Rei, Jardim Botânico, Mercês, Rebouças and São Francisco.
